The Groove and Soul Orchestra was created with the idea of reviving 60’s and 70’s Soul music stylings. The result is a very cool song list that includes recognizable standards of the genre as well as some songs off the all too well-beaten path of most Soul and R&B acts.

 

The pedigree of the players involved in this project is quite impressive. Willie Mc Neil, a singing drummer, has combined with some of the best on today’s music scene. Collectively, the band shows outstanding credits, such as Beck, Joe Strummer, the Solsonics, the Bonedaddies, John Mayall, Bo Diddley, Poncho Sanchez etc. With 2 vocalists, great horn work and an extremely tight rhythm section, this energetic and versatile combo will play great dance music, but is also at ease with Latin, Reggae and Jazz styles.

 

Its leader, Willie is no stranger to the music scene. Having worked successfully in the music business in Los Angeles for over 20 years, he has performed for numerous special events including private parties, film premieres, weddings and corporate functions. His experience guarantees a flawless professionalism.
